HANNAH AND THE UNDERWATER FOREST

So let me tell you a story about a beautiful, lush green forest which is underneath the shimmering, blue water. Nobody knows about the forest except Hannah and her dog waffle (shhh)…it’s a secret…

Hannah has silk black hair and has bright blue piercing eyes and waffle has fluffy fur the colour of golden sand. Hannah is 8 years old and loves her dog waffle even his wet silver nose.

Her favourite dress is the colour of peachy coral.

So let me introduce you to the fabulous forest and guess what the colours of the trees are …Pink, orange, yellow and purple. Yes… multi-coloured sunset trees. When Hannah goes into her fabulous forest her body transforms into a mermaid

Not just any mermaid…she is a princess mermaid, and her dog waffle transforms into a prince merman dog. This transformation is so that they can swim and breathe underwater as they have gills.

Hannah and Waffle decided to go on an adventure around the underwater forest. They stumbled across a playpark and saw a snake on a bright yellow slippery slide. Ruby red marvellous monkey bars where they saw hanging from it was a stupendously silly monkey!

But then they heard a ‘Toot! Toot!’  and coming from behind the slide was a train that looked so much fun! It was emerald, green, and a toucan was driving it around its track.

Then from out of nowhere ’Honk Honnnnnkkkk!’ came a snail driving a blue bumper car... Wow said Hannah! What a wonderful place!

Hannah felt unsure about the snail, scared about the snake and silly about the monkey and happy about the toucan. All these thoughts muddled her…

Waffle started barking. There was a scrumptious smell…

Guess what waffle was barking at…it was…

Pete’s pirate fantastic pizza shop and Olly the octopuses ice cream shop, oh what a lovely smell it was. They were so excited that they did not know which one to begin with…

Hannah and waffle spent time eating and playing all afternoon, it was so much fun the animals became their friends and when it was getting dark and time to go home Hannah and Waffle decided to stay over as they were so tired. The fish and crabs made them a bed from seaweed and lush coral.

When they woke up, they found a little girl sleeping beside her and Waffle. Hannah bravely said hello and good morning to the girl. The girl yawned and explained that her name is Penelope and as far as she knew she lived on her own.

Penelope had long light brown hair and eyes like deep green seaweed. Her favourite dress was also peachy coral!

Hannah said that they could be friends. With Waffle too of course!

She had only ever seen Waffle in their secret forest – oh and all the other wonderful animals and fish of course. So how had Penelope found their secret forest?

Had Penelope followed them there?

Did Penelope live nearby, and they had just never seen each other in all this time?

Hannah had lots of unanswered questions about who Penelope was.

Waffle interrupted Hannahs thoughts with a loud bark. ‘WOOOFFFFFF’

“What is it now Waffle?” moaned Hannah.

Waffles tummy growled so loud that it shook the seabed.

“Oh Waffle, how could we have forgotten Breakfast?”

‘WOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFF’ yelped Waffle.

Hannah, Waffle, and Penelope went in the search of some delicious breakfast in the forest.

Penelope suggested banana yoghurt strawberry smoothie and delicious fruits from the seabed….

But were they good to eat?

Or was Penelope who she said she was?

And why oh why was her favourite dress the same colour?

All these thoughts came in her head all at once…
