Seb Denny - Aged 8

A daring, thrilling, enthralling, action adventure! The writer created a spectacularly unpredictable tale that had us clueless as to what was going to happen next. We thoroughly enjoyed the range of characters that were involved throughout the story. The secret London underground water system and the epic final battle were spectacular. You clearly have a brilliant imagination and made us all chuckle! We loved your drawing as well, it was excellent! Well done on the imaginative and funny narrative that is sure to entertain all readers.

Kit the Cat is a black cat. He lives in Covent Garden. One day he was looking for some goldfish when he fell in the pond he was fishing in. He fell super deep under water.  He felt scared.

Raffi the Ray, the only Ray that lives in a pond, grabbed him and dragged him through an under-water tunnel. He placed him on a concrete platform and said ‘do you want to access the London underground water transport?’

‘No, and I thought there was only a London underground train transport?’ said Kit.

‘There is a London underground that humans haven’t discovered that goes faster than the human underground’.

‘Well OK then, I will go to Buckingham Palace’s pond’.

‘OK’ said Raffi.

Raffi slipped into another water tunnel with the bold letters saying ‘Buckingham Palace’s pond’. Raffi whizzed down the tunnel and they landed in a pond in a quartz bowl with lily pads and goldfish. Raffi the Ray glided through the pond and dropped Kit on a quartz ledge.

Kit dipped his paw in the water. A fish swam past his paw. He was about to pounce but then he heard a drilling noise. He looked around and saw a woodpecker. The woodpecker said ‘hiya I’m George the woodpecker’. But then Kit stepped back on a loose tile on the floor and the ground opened up. George and Kit fell into a metal cage.

From out of the darkness came a chicken in a diamond robot suit. The chicken stepped

forwards banging a bar on the cage.

Then George pecked a screw on the cage and then he pecked the next screw and so on… until the lid of the cage opened and landed on the chicken. Kit ran around in circles because he was scared.

The chicken got back up and punched the lid of the cage. The lid of the cage hit Kit and George who went flying back through the hole. They nearly landed back in the cage but George grabbed Kit and flew to Trafalgar Square where George swooped down and landed in a place with a sign saying Pigeontropolis. They saw the Chicken climbing out of the hole and flying towards them.

George flew into a building and wrote something down on a piece of paper and gave it to a pigeon. The pigeon stuffed it in his pocket and he flew up towards the ceiling. A hole opened up and he flew out with the message tucked under his belly.

George said, ‘I just sent a message to Raffi the Ray’. George flew away with Kit on his back but then the chicken in a diamond robot suit grabbed them. Kit struggled to get free but it was no use, so Kit got his claw out and scratched the chicken’s hand. The chicken let go in pain then out of nowhere came Raffi the Ray. He jumped up and hit the chicken’s diamond robot suit helmet. The chicken wobbled and fell over. George flew up and pecked the screws on the chicken’s helmet which fell off. Next Kit picked up the chicken out of the diamond suit and put him in a cage triumphantly.

After that was all finished, they had a party eating cake and pizza and lots of fun and laughter.
